Future: All diagnostic information is collected in a few minutes using two digital scanning devices. A cone beam like device does two rapid radiographic scans of the head one with the teeth occluded and another as the patient opens wide. The second device goes in the mouth and does scans with different types of light. This intraoral scan picks up changes in temperature indicating inflammation; it detects bacterial fluorescence indicating the effectiveness of home care and carious activity. It detects calculus. It evaluates translucence. It detects changes in the epithelium that indicate cancer or other changes.
This digital information isn't seen by the dentist but is examined by the dental software. Once the data is collected the software using artificial intelligence compares all the findings to a gigantic data base. The data base and the diagnostic software are not in the dental office but stored on enormous secure servers the dentist can access through the Internet. The data base has a huge range of both normal and pathological findings. Based on this the software provides a differential diagnosis, a very accurate probability of diagnostic accuracy and a course of treatment.
The software displays a 3D image of the mouth, the hard and soft tissue, even facial features. Difference Between Pentium Core 2 Duo & Dual Core
Core 2 Duo & Pentium dual core are the same? No. They are not the same.
The Pentium dual core are "two" cores but they are now if, if we call virtual because they are two nucleus but not physical if not the architecture of the Pentium dual core is still derives from the 4 and the Celeron Pentium
The core 2 duo, if you have two physical processors and their architecture is 90.65 and 45 nm ( nanometers ) are more under 2mb cache up to 8 or 12mb on the second level the dual core have 1 or 2 mb on one level.
The core 2 duo is the second generation processors that have Intel processors and are generally characterized by 64-bit support, unlike other processors Intel chips like the Pentium, which are 32 bits.
So also when sharing tasks in the system passes the dual core a 30 % improvement over the Pentium 4 and core 2 duo 60 to 70% compared to those processors
One might also think it is the same speed as a 3.6GHz Pentium 4 to a core 2 duo 1.8 Ghz since each core runs at 1.8 GHz * 2 = 3.6?
Then again no, because the rate varies by giving different orders to each processor and the p4 must receive all on a single processor.

Netbooks were introduced as a means to browse the internet wherever and whenever you like. It seems that in today's fast moving environment convenience is becoming more and more of a necessity so speaking from experience I would like to produce my thoughts on both the Netbook and notebook to allow everybody to make their own decisions on what types of personal computer they are going to purchase.
Netbook
I purchased a Netbook for the simple reason that it was extremely small and I got rather excited at the prospect of being able to pull it out almost anywhere and not cause too much fuss or bother to anybody else. I started my search comparing all sorts of models all of which baffled me completely as I am guessing with today's technology unless you are wanting to use your system for gaming or anything else that requires high end graphics one PC is pretty much the same as another.
Anyway I made my choice and off I went home and started to play. Before I had to do any serious work I really liked my new Netbook. It certainly ticked all the boxes and before long I was happily surfing the net on a hugely reduced screen size with no loss to quality. As usual the time come when I had to do some real work. This is where the problems began and where I feel the Netbooks of this world really fall down. If you need to do anything other than surf the internet you are really in trouble. Using multiple programs is a lot harder. If you are programming and have to look at a lot of code the screen size just isn't practical and with most Netbook keyboards being less than half the size of a normal keyboard you can really be in trouble and will probably spend most of your time deleting and re typing.
Notebook (or Laptop)
Moving on to the trusty old notebook. These good old work horses can always be depended upon. Reasonable screen size, nice side keyboard and in most cases just as good spec wise as any desktop machine you can't really go wrong. Comparing them to a Netbook though you have to weigh up the convenience factor. If you are on a very busy bus or plane the last thing you want to have to get out is a seventeen inch laptop its at these moments alone when a Netbook really comes into its own.
I suppose what I am trying to get at is that they were called Net books for a reason to surf the internet. I can honestly say whilst typing this article on my standard normal size notebook that for surfing the internet in confined spaces on the go a Netbook is definitely the way to go and for everything else i.e. a more practical solution bigger is most definitely better so get a normal notebook.
1GB Or 2GB in a Netbook - Is There a Difference?
First of all you need to decide if you can spend twenty dollars on something that may or may not boost your netbook's performance. There are programs that will work faster but then there are those that are not affected by more system memory. If you read this article you should be able to decide if you need more than the default amount in netbooks.
Why 2GB, can't you just slap in a 2GB module and forget the whole thing? Unfortunately you can't, for multiple reasons. 2GB SO-Dimm Modules are more expensive. Not that it should matter if you absolutely need the extra memory, but in a computer that's worth $300 new it doesn't make much sense to spend an extra $60 on something that would not make things go faster.
Not only that, but Intel's 945g chipset often used by netbook manufacturers only supports up to 2GB memory. The processor paired with this chipset is often an N270 or N280 atom, both 32 bit processors. They physically cannot run software that can use more than 4GB memory, and the next logical step would be to support 4GB. So there are software limitations in place, too.
Unfortunately Intel doesn't seem to be keen on lifting this limitation as their most recent Atom N450 processor that has a memory controller installed accepts up to 2GB as well.
Where does 2GB make much difference? You would certainly notice that things go more smoothly while you do many things simultaneously. When working with only one or two applications at once you don't often reach 1GB memory use that would justify having more, and even if you do, Windows takes good care of the problem with virtual memory.
Using the hard drive to store important data instead of the RAM slows processes down a little, but unless you often change between applications that have a total memory requirement more than 1GB, you won't notice a things. In games and scientific applications you won't notice much of a difference either, mainly because the bottleneck of the system is not in the amount of available memory, but the speed of data processing, which is the processor's department.
There are some people who take a different approach in the question. They install the extra memory anyway, because one 1GB DDR2 SO-DIMM stick used in netbooks these days costs about $20. The way of their thinking follows the logic that they can buy it so why shouldn't they?
The approach you take is entirely up to you, but given that to reach the maximum amount you have to pay less than ten percent of the total price of the computer it doesn't make much sense to debate over the question much. If you run many applications simultaneously buy the extra stick, if you don't I wouldn't bother.

When I came out of my technical Engineering course I never ever tried to sneak into a company. Reason being, I was technically sharp. I was always hungry for technology. If I repaired a few gadgets with my limited technical supply I ruined a many with my limited dose of technology. However, I fixed their problems later with my technical brains after getting a small description about the technology used in them. As a technical geek, the first gadget that I tried to repair was a small alarm clock. And when I say repair, I literally mean removing all the gears and replacing them again. It took me two complete days to render the clock completely useless after cutting a small important copper coil inside it. And I never felt sorry for that. Because I got a chance to peek into the technology as used in small alarm clock. And today I know how the 555 timer technology is used for designing an alarm clock. And this is a very simple technology which many Engineers are not acquainted with even after graduating out of their technical courses.
The topper of my class had once attended a campus interview. The interviewer asked this technical Electric Engineer a small basic technical question, "Which of the following is a good conductor of electricity: Copper or Aluminium?" And it was not very unusual to see a blank face when the question was heard. Quite surprisingly a Civil Engineer answered this question and also justified his answer with a technical explanation. And this technical guy was a below average student! And this is the difference when it comes to differentiating a technical guy from a non-technical one.

Technical students hate joining a company. If at all they join one they do it because they need experience and capital to start their venture.
I personally feel that a technical engineer has the right potential to start a company and make it big. The biggest example of such a technical guy is the founder of Infosys: Mr. Narayanmurthy. When I say technical geek I mean to say a guy or a girl who has complete technical details of a particular gadget of product. The software companies are filled with non-technical staff of workers. Those who are technical usually score low because they are interested in understanding technology and not memorizing it. And that is exactly how a technical geek should be. He should keep himself updated with the latest technology around and not just learn something by heart just to score higher in a course or two. Take a look at the following situation:
An uncle of mine had started his business as a computer vendor and was ready to hire a few technical students as employees. A guy who had a 80% score sheet in Electronics Engineering stepped in. My uncle started the interview with a few technical questions like:

Mac Vs PC - Comparing Apple, Oranges, iPads, and Microsoft
In The World of Finance it was big news when Apple (AAPL) surpassed Microsoft's (MSFT) market cap. It then took me back to the late 90's and early turn of the century when the proverbial user-end competition would argue The Mac is better than the PC. Of course both companies have taken advantage of this controversial argument in their marketing campaigns with the personification of both systems using human actors representing each system. Not many would argue against these marketing campaigns due to the user-community's mirroring attitude and perception; truthfully, comparing these companies is really comparing apples to oranges (pun intended).
There are many that would agree historically that the strongest argument Microsoft (PC) enthusiast could bring is that Microsoft controlled 97% of the user-end Operating System market leaving the rest to Apple and an assortment of others (i.e. multiple flavors of UNIX and Linux). While this sounds impressive, we must take into consideration first and foremost that Microsoft's business model primarily is licensing. Microsoft's manufacturing costs for the Windows operating systems are primarily software developer costs and all associated cost within the Software development Life-Cycle (SDLC). Apparently Microsoft has continued efforts to compete with other products in the array of electronic devices from the consumer stream including Video Game Consoles (Xbox) and portable media players (Zune); however, these are not the cash cow products of Microsoft as is the Windows operating systems. The manufacturing of the PC was left up to IBM, Dell, HP, Gateway, Compaq etc. while Microsoft was able to kickback and count units from manufactures and enjoy licensing profits as a major player in every PC manufactures supply chain.
Meanwhile, where was Apple? Apple's model was manufacturing hardware parallel to the development of its operating systems. At the time, great numbers of data processing enthusiasts would argue that this was a costly-mistake given that Apple did not take the same licensing business model of Microsoft. Now it's a new day, the world can take a new look at Apple given the news of the organization surpassing Big Bad Bill Gates and the Goliath Microsoft. In retrospect, Apple apparently was not in the business of developing the world's greatest operating system; they obviously had the goal of building the world's greatest computer. In the context of Apple, the hardware and the operating system were two-halves-of-a-whole to be developed and designed under one roof. Apple would maintain its attitude in regard to its products from genesis to present day.
Not long after Windows 95 began the World Domination campaign for Microsoft, the MP3 codec was born. Napster became the best friend of the MP3 "file sharing" junkie given the MP3's quality-to-file-size ratio, a new phenomenon was catching on. It's difficult to disagree that the PC soon became this oversized stereo system that would only allow music portability from burning your MP3 downloads to a CD and off you go to the car or with your portable CD player.
Going back in time it is obvious that the solution to this was to build a tiny battery-operated PC that could hold thousands of these tiny high quality files and allow users to take music along without the time consuming effort of creating a CD or being limited to what your CD would allow for you to burn. Voila! The iPod was born. Why was Apple the perfect business model to develop such a product? Unlike Microsoft, Apple was not multi-tasking its enterprise, Apple was continuing its mission to build the world's greatest computer. For this device to revolutionize the world it had to emerge from an organization that understood what it would take to develop a stable, reliable, user-friendly, and swanky device from A to Z. With all due respect, the Macintosh was the iPod in its prehistoric form (I know it's a stretch but stay with me here). Like its predecessor the Macintosh, Apple built the iPod as a sleek device with a small operating system parallel to the hardware development of the device which as said before is the ancient recipe for Apple's success. While Apple's products are not cheap or inexpensive, this recipe of success renders quality products of which is Apple's reputation, and the costs of these products have reflected this discipline. Judging from the theme of this article this approach has paid off: On May 26, 2000, Apple was trading at $21.59 per share; as of May 28, 2010, Apple is trading at $256.88 a share. This growth has occurred all while staying steady on course with an obvious mantra: build excellent computers.
The exciting aspect of the iPod is that it was the beginning of a new era in computing. The iPod has embarked Apple on a journey which took them from the simple iPod, then bridging the iPod technology with network connectivity in the iPhone. Although Microsoft is not foreign to the cell phone market, their involvement with the cell phone mirrors their relationship to the PC, license the operating system. Similar to the PC model the hardware on Windows cell phones are not native to the Microsoft Operating system, thus mixed results with the deployment of these devices on various cell phone manufacturer's products typically result. Apple's iPhone from top-to-bottom Apple hardware built parallel to the Apple operating system and the consumers of this product would agree: quality, quality, and quality.
Then came April 3, 2010: the historical date for the debut of the Apple iPad. Is it a notebook, a laptop, or a tablet? I am not certain, but what one can be certain of is it's an iPad. Some critics have remarked it is an overgrown iPhone. It has the touch screen, its battery powered, has network connectivity, can run most common applications and is light-weight and thin. When first experiencing the use of an iPad I got a retro nostalgic feeling from this modern device, it reminded me of the old Star Trek movies depicting the technology of our future. Bones walking around with this one tablet that could handle all of his communication, informational and documentation needs.
Since the release of Windows95 the world has been marveled and awed by Microsoft's dominance and the wealth that Bill Gates has amassed. Not that the Bill Gate's story is not a great one, it is definitely worth admiration. However, Steve Jobs and Apple is an extremely inspirational one, as the Apple organization has been a minority in not being distracted by Microsoft's fortune (with the Exception of Microsoft bailing out Apple in 1997 with a $150 million cash infusion-some would say the generous move was a public relations campaign to divert the thoughts of Microsoft's anti-trust practices). Apple accepted the opportunity and put its head down, kept the nose to the grindstone in building a legacy of superior products and never looked back.
Basically, we can progress our inappropriate argument beyond which is better (Mac or PC), in their natural existence the two empires are both in the technology sector; however, Apple is in hardware while Microsoft is primarily in the software sector. Microsoft, due to its marketing position with name brand PC manufacturers, is still the dominant presence of operating systems in desktop computers. This is irrelevant in large part because Apple goes beyond the operating system, Apple is the complete product; a leading manufacturer of computers that have their own proprietary operating systems. This is not news to Bill Gates or Steve Jobs, they both understand where they are in their niche which is probably why it was a no brainer for Microsoft to help Apple back in Apple's troubled times of 1997.
My statement of non-comparison here is more than a point; it is a celebration of ingenuity and creativity not only in the area of technology but also in the area of business. Kudos to Apple for finally going above and beyond the GUI technology that both Apple and Microsoft borrowed from Xerox and bringing a reinvention of personal data processing that is an improved ergonomic fit into our new millennial culture from those desktop clunkers that kept us handcuffed to a desk or laptops that kept us close to an electrical power source. Yes, those were the orange days; now its time to move on to the Apple days.
Discounts and Savings on Computers
Saving on a new computer is an ideal way to budget your money for the summer. Buying a new computer can be very costly. If you look at the advertisements in the newspaper you will see that the price for new brand name computers exceeds the cost of their predecessors by at least 20-40 percent. The best way to get a good deal and save some money in the process is to shop around and compare prices.
Many local department stores have nice sized electronics sections, with lots of great selections to choose from. You can browse the isles and probably find some really nice computers on sale or on clearance. Consider buying a nice off brand computer they work just as well as the major brand name ones.
Another option to consider is a nice used one. Pawn shops and rental stores have particularly new computers for sale. People will buy a new computer and several weeks and months later they pawn it or return it to the rental leasing store. You can get a computer for a good discount. Depending on the business that's selling the computer they may knock of at least one to two hundred dollars off the totally selling price.
If you just absolutely must have a new computer then you have one of two options. If you don't have the money to pay cash for your new computer then you can save up for it. That requires putting money back every payday until you have reached your goal, or putting your computer on layaway. Either way it goes you will be saving on a new computer.
Maintaining Your Laptop
How many times have you been frustrated with your laptop not working fine? You will be encountering problems such as it keeps getting stuck all the time and the browser doesn't upload fast or you are not able to open your files as quickly as you would love to. Or, you want to type a document with MS Word, and no matter how much ever you type the cursor doesn't move fast. What you need to do is to learn how to maintain your laptop to improve its performance.
The first and foremost thing you need to do is keep it dust free. Providing your laptop a good casing would do some good for its enhanced performance. Accumulation of dust inside the fan which keeps the CPU cool could prevent it from functioning properly and slowly it could lead to other problems.
Most importantly, how you carry and drop your laptop matters a lot. You need to be extremely gentle with your hands and electronics are very delicate items. Above all, do not eat in front of your computer. Small crumbs can easily drop in and spoil your keys and other components.
Never keep your laptop near electrical components as the magnetic field generated by the latter can harm your computer. Keep your laptop screen clean and make it a point to dust your computer regularly.
You should also move all the important files to an external disk. This would increase the occupied space which gives the memory to work free and fast. You need to keep updating your applications which you use regularly. The programs and applications which haven't been used for long should be uninstalled and deleted immediately as they affect the performance too.
Last but not the least, use the system defragging option. Defragging improves quality of space in the drive and increases the speed of performance. Following these tips given above can definitely help you improve the performance of your laptop.
